Capture The Heart is on a mission to save the lives of every student athlete across America, starting with Florida and Georgia. Here in the South, we're known for our sports. With great weather and passionate people, we promote active lifestyles, outdoor activities, and every type of sport that young people play. From football to basketball, volleyball and more, our student athletes are the future of this country. Unbeknownst to them, there's a silent killer taking their lives every single day, without any warning signs.
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is one of the most common inheritable cardiovascular diseases and is the most common cause of sudden cardiac arrest and sudden death in the young -- especially young athletes. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can happen without any warning signs. The heart simply stops beating. Young athletes are more than twice as likely to experience death due to HCM / SCA because of their increased heart rates during sports.
The CTH HeartScreen process helps detect possible heart-related health issues in student athletes using advanced portable technology that is set up on-site at the school. There is never a need to transport the students to a third-party location. We want to make it at easy and quick as possible. We are fully invested in the future of our student athletes.
Capture The Heart is a charity organization that contributes back to the community through public awareness, heart health studies, new and better equipment, and other athletic/health organizations that share our same goal: saving the lives of our student athletes across the country. We need more awareness to the severity of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and sudden cardiac arrest.
