Scott Wade

Scott E Wade, RDMS, RVT

FOUNDER, PRESIDENT, LEAD SONOGRAPHER

A career-long dream to make a difference in teen athlete safety began nearly two decades ago with his first cardiac and vascular sonography role at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System. It was here that he met and was mentored by Don Held, our Director of Clinical Operations, where the two worked together to launch the first Student Athletic Heart Scan project at Sarah Bush. Completing tens of thousands of sonography and echocardiology studies, Scott was exposed to the largely undiagnosed diseases in student athletes. With a strong desire to expand access to as many teen and college athletes as possible, Scott continued to work in his field which included several hospital and contract roles, and a start-up radiology staffing firm. All of this experience and his perseverance to bring needed screenings to teens and young adults with limited access and socio-economic deficiencies, finally led Scott to the development and launch of Capture The Heart. Scott’s ambitious, caring and self-motivated nature has attracted a team of highly qualified individuals who will work to ensure Capture The Heart reaches every teen and college student athlete possible.

Scott’s vast career has provided him with advanced skills in echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echo, vascular, testicular and abdominal imaging, obstetrics and gynecology, thyroid and breast imaging, renal artery doppler studies, special procedures assistance including amniocentesis, thoracentesis and pericardiocentesis, and superb skills in reading and interpreting a broad range of sonographic imaging. Scott has been nationally registered since 1999 and has held registries in all three modalities: general, vascular and cardiac ultrasound procedures. In addition to his core clinical competencies, Scott has also developed advanced knowledge in marketing and sales strategies, risk management, staff management and development of legal entity establishment and organizational structure and policies. Scott was the founder and CEO of a Jacksonville based radiology staffing company in the mid 2000’s and has continued honing his skills through various organizations locally and nationally over the years. Scott has professional memberships with the America Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, American Registry of Vascular Technologists and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Scott’s philanthropy work has included rescue missions through the City Rescue Mission of Jacksonville and the Trinity Rescue Mission, providing free ultrasound exams. He has also dedicated his time to Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House and is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Scott has traveled internationally and currently resides locally in Jacksonville.
